CENÁRIO DE ADOECIMENTO DOS BOMBEIROS MILITARES PELA SÍNDROME DE BURNOUT: UMA REVISÃO SISTEMÁTICA DE LITERATURA

Abstract


INTRODUCTION: Burnout Syndrome is a disease that affects, in short, the working class, since the triggering factors or stressors are present in the work environment. Professionals who deal with emergencies and help the population are included in the list of work activities that present a greater risk of illness. Studying in this way, understanding the relationship between the disease and the military firefighter activity can bring a wealth of knowledge that will certainly help in prevention and care actions. OBJECTIVE: To know the relationship between Burnout Syndrome and the military firefighter activity, presenting the main elements that make up the scenario of illness of the Brazilian firefighter. METHOD: the study was designed through a systematic review of the literature, based on the PRISMA Protocol, with research in Portuguese, Spanish and English published between 2011 and 2021. The original studies that brought the characterization of the disease in this population, symptoms, factors and predictors and stressors, prevalence and impacts on workers' occupational and mental health. PUBMED, Scielo, BVS (Medline), LILACS (Bireme) were used as databases for research. RESULTS: Initially, 173 articles were identified, 08 of which were selected for full reading, 03 of which were excluded and 05 included, since they dealt with the public of choice (Brazilian military firefighter) and had Burnout Syndrome as the main element of the research.
